Solidarity with the State of Israel and its people!

JLEV and its member congregations condemn the terrorist attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. Terrorists are murdering civilians, preying on civilians and taking hostages in the south. At the same time, Israeli cities are being bombarded with thousands of rockets, indiscriminately hitting civilians and homes. These are war crimes!
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these crimes and the Israeli soldiers and security forces who are repelling the attacks. We also think of civil defense and rescue workers and volunteers who are caring for the injured and creating safe places for them.
These terrorist attacks must not destroy the successful peace agreements between Israel and several Arab states. The Iranian government must be prevented from continuing to finance terrorism in the region and worldwide.
JLEV and its member communities express their solidarity with the Jewish state, its citizens, the security forces and civil defense! We expect unrestricted solidarity with and help for Israel from the German federal government!
We demand the immediate end of all support for Palestinian and other initiatives that do not clearly distance themselves from Hamas, Hezbolla and Islamist Jihad and their violence! There must be no trade or other relationship with the Iranian regime and its allies.
The violence of Hamas and Hezbolla must be condemned. Both terrorist organizations are breaking international war law and international humanitarian law and cannot be partners in peace negotiations — corresponding financial flows from the EU and the federal government must be stopped immediately!
