AMERICA
During my recent holiday to the US, I had the opportunity and privilege to speak to 2 Reform congregations.  Thanks to the excellent materials prepared for our movement and our congregation in Hameln by the Jewish Appleseed Foundation, I was able to inform our very interested brothers and sisters in the US.  There is a real information void about the rebirth of Reform Judaism in Germany.  Our American friends are eager to help us, and we thank all that have given us contributions either directly or through this secure server!

Congregants celebrate Israel’s Independence Day, Yom Ha Atzma ut, with speaker Noemi Kraigher and a homemade cake in the shape of the Israeli flag.

TZEDAKA BOXES
Rabbi David has designed a Tzedaka box to raise funds for the building of a synagogue for our congregation.  Each member will receive a box.  Please set them up at home and once filled send a check to the Jewish Appleseed Foundation marked “JGH SYNAGOGUE”.  The lovely design on the box is the creation of Neil Yerman, and we thank him for the lovely graphics.  By filling these boxes, we are helping ourselves create a permanent home.  We will also be taking a historic step in building the first Reform synagogue in post-war Germany.  Take part in the tradition and Mitzvah of giving for the future.
Additional Tzedaka Boxes for our Web site readers are available through the Jewish Appleseed Foundation (Jewishappleseed.org).
